The Denver Nuggets have a long history that began in the 70s. They started as a franchise under the American Basketball Association and was originally scheduled to play in Kansas City, but moved to Denver. They were very successful in the 1980s with Alex English and Kiki Vandeweghe leading the league in scoring. Both players scored an average of 25 points or more per game. They made it to the Western Conference finals during the 84-85 season. Nuggets fans were always proud to have Denver Nuggets tickets because you never knew how successful they were going to end up being and as they moved into the 90s, they had a "run and gun" style of play that always kept the fans on edge.

In 1992, Nuggets ticket holders were even more excited when they landed Dikembe Mutombo in the 1992 draft. The next year they landed Jalen Rose. With these two great players they finished 42-40 and stunned the Supersonics in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
In 2003-2004, Nuggets basketball tickets saw another resurgence as Denver picked up Carmelo Anthony. In the first two months of the season, they already had more wins than they had in the first five and a half months of the 2002-2003 season.
In 2009, Denver Nuggets tickets saw one more resurgence as Denver acquired the ever so controversial Allen Iverson. This gave the Nuggets the two top scorers in the league with Anthony and Iverson on the team. With the addition of Iverson and the trade for Steve Blake combined with the existing talent of Carmelo Anthony the team has made it to the Western Conference playoffs once again. Only the NBA Playoffs will show fans whether these changes in the line-up were worth it and just how valuable these three players are to the Denver Nuggets and Nuggets ticket holders.
